Share Your 2025 Golf Goal

We want to hear from you, Normal Sport reader, about what your golf goal is in 2025. Maybe it's as simple as finishing 18 for the first time or as advanced as shooting your first round in the 60s. There are no wrong answers, but we would love to see what you're personally trying to accomplish this year.

My goals:

  • Play Golf with Each Person (26 total) on My List
  • Get Handicap Back to Single Digits
  • Play 40+ Rounds of Golf (*at least 9 holes)
  • 20+ Birdies
  • Break 90 with Hickories

I just want to play more. I only played twice in 2024 and I'd like to see that go up quite a bit this year!

My goal:

  • Conquer the Amsterdam Old Course red-tee-break-par challenge after 3 years of trying.
  • Play one sunrise round per week. (Spring-Fall)
  • Finally tee it up with my golf collab friends from Normal Sport, Fried Egg Golf, NLU, Golf Blueprint & beyond.
  • Illustrate my first pro event LIVE.
  • Win our Netherlands Golf Federation team pool but lose in the playoff to avoid promotion to the top division.
  • Break 72.

I didn’t play much in 2024, but everytime  I did I paused and thought “This is the best.” I want to feel that more often in early morning rounds and rounds with golf friends. Lower scores can come if they want. I realize my golf goals are reminiscent of a pro saying their hobbies are listening to music and hanging out with friends but sometimes it can be so simple!

My golf goals this year include.

  • Post 35 rounds.
  • Break 80 twice.
  • Go from a 11.1 to a 7.0

Those are the goals this year. I wrote about them a bit on the Arccos blog, which I’ll be contributing to over the next several months. You can read that right here. I’ve broken 80 just twice in my life, but we are trending since August.

My biggest problems right now: I can get long and wild with driver (a bad combo), and I kick away 3-5 strokes every round around the greens. Not 3 putts (an entirely different conversation) but fatted chips and duffed pitches. It’s gross, but if I can clean that up a bit, I feel pretty confident about getting a couple of rounds in the 70s this year.
