Share Your 2025 Golf Goal

We want to hear from you, Normal Sport reader, about what your golf goal is in 2025. Maybe it's as simple as finishing 18 for the first time or as advanced as shooting your first round in the 60s. There are no wrong answers, but we would love to see what you're personally trying to accomplish this year.
Play at least 20 full rounds. Take 4 lessons. Increase average driving distance by 25 yards Get handicap to -5 or lower

my golf goal is to talk to myself as my own caddie. i often forget even basic things like where the wind is before shots! not anymore! i’ve plenty of times broken down the course into three hole stretches where my goal is to play each at +1 to finish under 80, but i think i can dig deeper. i can get creative with club selection, figure out green undulations on chips, and avoid bunkers at all costs on par 5s. there is so much thought that can go into a round of golf - and that’s a lot of the fun! so, i want to talk to myself as my own caddie on the course in 2025 in order to play with my best effort

I play frequently, but always with my kids (ages 14 & 11), and I love to focus on them during those 3, 6 or 9 hole stretches. I want to personally log 20 18-hole rounds of my own this spring/summer, like I used to pre-kids.

Get back to playing competitively this season. My handicap stayed at a 1.1 last season but it didn’t feel that way. Only played in three tournaments because life got busy. I want to feel like I’ve improved and play more competitive golf.

I've got two kids (6 and 2) so first I'd like to just play at least 18 full rounds of golf this year. Second, I need to figure out tee balls. My SG data says I'm about a relative handicap of 39 off the tee, while my overall is 14. So that's... not good. Luckily I can putt my butt off. If I can figure that out, my third, and long term goal, is to get under a 10 and join Kyle in breaking 80 for the first time since 2021.
